REALM Adelaide is a proposed residential luxury apartment project designed by award-winning architectural practice Elenberg Fraser.
Featuring a building form that links the past and the future, Realm Adelaide on Austin Street is set to become the tallest tower in Adelaide, rising 132 metres, spanning 40 storeys and offering 320 apartments in one, two, three and four-bedroom configurations. The project also offers two double-storey penthouses and aims to bring the first five-star hotel-like lifestyle experience to the city through exemplary interior design and two levels of planned resident amenity, including a rooftop spa and wellness facility.
The tower is planned above the existing Renaissance Arcade, which will also be renovated as part of the project to become a fully integrated dining and retail precinct that intends to spark the evolution of the Austin Street area. The project scope also includes the Assay House built in 1858, where the facade will be restored and a double height bar and restaurant is proposed.
The University of Adelaide and University of South Australia are less than 5 minutes walk away, as well as the State Library of South Australia. Shopping, dining and entertainment are just a stone's throw away in Rundle Mall, Target Centrepoint and The Myer Centre. For the more artistically-inclined, the South Australian Museum is just opposite the development,
Realm Adelaide pays tribute to Adelaide’s past and future through its form, which is positioned at the point where the city’s current skyline is ending, and its future skyline is emerging. The building’s golden geometric form will stand out on the Adelaide skyline, creating a strong architectural statement in the city. Its golden tones are a tribute to Assay House’s past as the location where lucky gold rush prospectors took their gold to be weighed and melted into the Adelaide Pound.
